The Collierville Middle XC teams are getting off to a great start in 2019 and they prepare to compete in several races over the next couple of weeks. The Dragons are in action this Saturday morning in Oakville, Alabama at the Chickasaw Invitational.

Oakville Indian Mounds Park in Oakville, Ala., is the host site for Saturday's event. The Lady Dragons kick off the day at 10:35 a.m. (CT), followed by the Dragons at 10:55 a.m. (CT).

The teams will face regional competition from Tennessee, Alabama and Mississippi. This is Collierville's second trip in program history to this race. Last year, as a middle school team (up to 8th grade) facing junior high teams (up to 9th grade), the Lady Dragons placed 4th and the Dragons placed 5th. Allie Timms led the Lady Dragons with a time of 14:06 and Beckham Clements finished in 12:25 for the Dragons.
