Collierville Middle School did not look far in finding their new Head Girls' Basketball Coach. Longtime Collierville High School top-assistant, Starry Taylor, will take over as the leader of the CMS Lady Dragons basketball program beginning in the 2021-2022 school year. Taylor was Coach Anthony Hall's right-hand-man at CHS, and most recently served in the same capacity on Jessica Green's staff, as a key component to the program's recent success. The seven year assistant will get his first opportunity as Head Coach when the Lady Dragons open play this winter in the middle school municipal school league.
The Collierville High School Lady Dragons basketball program is coming off back-to-back 20-win seasons and will look to continue the success with a strong core of returnees. Taylor has been an influential piece in sending six former Dragons on to continue their careers at the next level. He still plans to assist the CHS program when scheduling conflicts can be avoided.
